Please call or stop in to register, with a check or credit card or cash, Registration is required. A deposit of $60.00 is required. Deposit money will be refunded in event of cancellation of the class.

Note: Iowa residents MUST obtain an Iowa permit to carry in Iowa, we only offer the Utah permit training. Illinois residents now can carry in Iowa with the Utah permit.

The cost for the class is $125.00. This does NOT include the $65.25 state fee that you will need to send with your stamped application within a year after attending class. Classes last approximately 4-4.5 hours and include fingerprinting for the Utah application.

Remember Iowa now recognizes ALL  state permits.    Be prepared when you travel. It will take about 6 weeks to receive your Utah permit after attending class and submitting your $65.25 state fee and application, so sign up early.  Illinois does NOT allow concealed carry of firearms. Our emphasis will be for Illinois and Wisconsin residents who travel out of state and wish to carry.

Reciprocity with Other States

In accordance with U.C.A. 76-10-523, Utah will honor a permit to carry a concealed firearm issued by another state or county.

Of the states below that have formalized reciprocity or recognition with Utah, there are some states that will only accept the Utah concealed firearm permit so long as the permit holder is a resident of Utah.

It is the responsibility of all Utah concealed firearm permit holders to know and understand the applicable firearm laws of the states within which they plan to visit or venture. For information regarding firearm laws of other states, please contact the respective authority within that state.

Although there are many states that will recognize the Utah concealed firearm permit, the State of Utah has formal reciprocity (written agreement) with the following states

• Alabama Alaska Colorado Florida Georgia Louisiana Mississippi New Hampshire
• North Carolina North Dakota Ohio South Dakota Texas Virginia Washington State
• West Virginia

The following states recognize the Utah concealed firearm permit.

The following states DO NOT recognize the Utah concealed firearm permit.
